Lady Gaga and Madonna Almost Kiss on SNL

Lady Gaga almost joined the league of kissed-by-Madonna young blonde pop stars when the latter made a surprise appearance on "Saturday Night Live."

Madonna performed with Lady Gaga on a mock "MTV 4" talk show called "Deep House Dish," hosted by D.J. Dynasty Handbag (Keenan Thompson).

D.J. Dynasty announced with bravado, "Performing together for the very first time, Lady Gaga and Madonna!" The two came out in skimpy black leather outfits and matching thigh-high black boots, and danced briefly to an electro song. The dance was followed by Gaga and Madonna jokingly fighting on stage, with Madge demanding at one point, "What the hell is a disco stick?"

The divas continued their faux verbal battle with Gaga saying, "Hey, guess what Madonna? I'm totally hotter than you!" Madonna retorted with, "Guess what, I'm totally taller than you! What kind of name is Lady Gaga, it sounds like baby food!"

When a hair-pulling match ensued, Dynasty was forced to make the pair sit on the couch with him seated between them, and instructed them to kiss and make up. The blonde superstars came tantalizingly close to locking lips, though they ended up sharing a three-way kiss with the host instead, probably reminding quite a few people of the (in)famous Madonna-Britney/Christina kiss of the 2003 Video Music Awards.
