Motown unearths Classic Jackson 5

New album features a compilation of new songs and old favorites.

The Jackson Five

It was December 1969 when the Jackson 5 released the single "I Want You Back" which went on to reach number 1. Now Motown's favorite sons are releasing a new album with a mix of previously unreleased songs and alternate versions of classic hits recorded from 1969 to 1974 including "Never Can Say Goodbye", "ABC", "Dancing Machine" as well as, "I Want You Back".

The first single "That's What Love Is" is available on iTunes today to commemorate the Oct. 7, 1969 release date of their first hit single and can be heard free at jackson5.com.

"I Want You Back! Unreleased Masters" will be available November 10 and follows the posthumous release of a new Michael Jackson song, "This Is It", scheduled for Oct. 12.

Sony Entertainment will release a two-disc set coinciding with the movie of the same name showing scenes of Jackson when rehearsed for his series of London concerts.

"This Is It" includes some of Jackson's greatest hits from previously recorded albums. The second disc features previously unreleased versions of Jackson songs and a spoken-word poem from Jackson called "Planet Earth".

A re-issued "Jackson 5 Ultimate Christmas Album" will also be available in stores in tandem with the Masters release and for pre-order at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and Borders.
