Paranormal Activity director explores "Area 51"

Oren Peli's "Paranormal Activity" is creating a lot of buzz even though only opening in 40 cities so far. The buzz has led to a follow-up film deal for the director.

According to M&G, next week, Peli starts "Area 51", which will be about three teens who explore the Area 51 part of Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. The film will be shot in the same manner as "Paranormal Activity", with a "found footage" style.

"Area 51" will have a $5 million budget, while "Paranormal Activity" cost only $11,000. Peli's new film will be produced by Aramid Entertainment and Incentive Filmed Entertainment.
