The Good Wife, Episode Three
Tuesday's episode of "The Good Wife" (10 p.m. CBS) featured another win for Alicia (Julianna Margulies). This time around, she defends the 18-year-old son of former friends on a charge of felony murder. The kid in question, Kenny, says he swears he didn't do it, but was still up to suspicious activity involving marijuana.
We also learn that Kenny dropped out of school, and is somewhat lost, turning to Alicia as opposed to his unhappy, uptight parents, who have ostracized Alicia since the scandal with her husband.
Alicia flashes back a few times to memories of their seemingly perfect domestic life before the scandal. She is hurt, and her husband knows it. She receives a phone call from him that is painful for both of them.
Alicia must work with her rival, Cary (Matt Czuchry), because she needs another face for the trial since she and Kenny were previously connected. Cary's strength isn't litigation, but negotiation.
Alicia and Cary are successful in their efforts, and, SPOILER ALERT: Kenny is let off on lesser charges. I'm just waiting for Alicia to lose a case; this success seems too good to be true. I want to see if they will really give her a run for her money, and not just domestically.
