Bruce Springsteen Plays Last Show at Giants Stadium

Bruce Springsteen bid farewell to the Giants Stadium with a final concert.

Bruce Springsteen rocked the Giants Stadium with one last glorious concert on Friday, before the stadium is demolished to create parking for a new stadium. It was Springsteen's 24th performance at Giants Stadium since the first time in 1985, where according to the New York Times, "the audiences are his most fervent fans: fellow New Jerseyans."

The concert, attended by nearly 60,000 people, went on for over three hours, with Springsteen and his E Street Band performing the entire "Born in the USA" album to deafening cheers.

Bowing to tradition, he opened with a new song, this time "Wrecking Ball," about the soon-to-be-demolished stadium. The song was released only last week but his dedicated fans knew all the lyrics, carried "Wrecking Crew" signs, and wore "I Was at the Wrecking Ball" t-shirts.

The meaningful lyrics struck a chord with the entire audience: "Now when all this steel and these stories, they drift away to rust/ And all our youth and beauty, it's been given to the dust/ And our game's been decided, and we're burning down the clock/ And all our little victories and glories, have turned into parking lots."

Springsteen bid a final adieu to New Jersey's famous Giants Stadium with "Jersey Girl".
