David Letterman Apologized

David Letterman apologizedto his wife and co-workersfor his sexual behavior.

Letterman stirred in jokes as he said, his wife and heare "horribly hurt by my behavior."

The CBS late night host plans on restoring hisrelationship with his wife. The two wed in March 2009.

"Let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me."

He explained that he had beenthe victim of a $2 million dollarblackmail scheme.

So, he told the world abouthis actions.

A CBS producer, Robert Halderman, is accusedof black-mailing Letterman.

He used Letterman's ex-assistant, Stephanie Birkitt's diary.The diary had details of heraffair with Letterman.

Birkitt started living with Halderman,and that's how he becameaware of the diary.

Halderman pleaded notguilty.

"If you hurt a person and it's your responsibility, you try to fix it," Letterman said.
