New Moon Soundtrack to be Released on Friday

The soundtrack of "New Moon," the next installment in the "Twilight" saga will be released four days earlier than planned.

The "New Moon" soundtrack's release date has been pushed up from its original October 20 release to this Friday. According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the release has been pushed up due to "overwhelming and unprecedented" demand.

The soundtrack, one of the most anticipated albums of the year, was leaked in full online over the weekend, which is why distributors are keen to have it for sale as early as possible. The album release will satiate diehard "Twi" fans until the film hits theaters on Nov. 20.

The full line-up of the soundtrack was released last month, to much excitement. The album features tracks by Death Cab for Cutie, The Killers, Muse and Radiohead's Thom Yorke, but there'll be no Rob Pattinson crooning on the soundtrack this time around.

The "Twilight" soundtrack, featuring tracks by Paramore, Linkin Park and Muse debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart last November.
