Miley Cyrus Just Wants More Personal Space

Singer-actress Miley Cyrus explained to a radio station why she canceled her Twitter account

People are still devastated, angry, confused (take your pick) by Miley Cyrus' decision to delete her Twitter account. In the end, it always comes down to the age-old question for anyone in the public eye: privacy. Cyrus told a radio station that she wanted more privacy, and tweeting actually prevented her from doing the things she wanted to do, according to CMT.com. Cyrus' desire for a less detailed personal life is understandable; the singer-actress is still only 16 and has grown up thus far in rather surreal circumstances.

Cyrus was also questioned on the whole Kanye West/Taylor Swift debacle from last month's VMA's. Miley's opinion? Publicity stunt. Perhaps Miley is growing weary of the media, though the performer is virtually everywhere to be found in it (TV series, album, film).

The press around Twitter certainly helped publicity for her upcoming movie "The Last Song," coming out next year (one her last tweets concerned her co-star and potential love interest, Liam Hemsworth).
