Albert Pujols is in no hurry to discuss a contract extension with the St. Louis Cardinals, reports SportingNews.com. The two-time N.L. MVP told a Dominican radio station that he doesn't feel pressured to sign a contract extension and will leave matters "in God's hands."
The Associated Press states the Cardinals are interested in extending Pujols' contract during the winter. Pujols still has a year left on his contract and a club option for 2011, which will likely be picked up.
According to ESPN, Pujols signed a 7-year contract worth $100 million in 2003, but says money will not be the sole focus of the contract extension.
