Vampire Diaries, Episode 6

The Vampire Diaries is getting good. In Thursday's episode, Elena finally confronts Stefan about the strange happenings in Mystic Falls and the rivalry between him and Damon.

Stefan obligingly tells her he is in fact a vampire, and flashbacks show how Damon and Stefan's current relationship came to be: SPOILER ALERT: Catherine, as it turns out, (whom both brothers fells in love with) turned them into vampires.

Meanwhile, Damon goes on a killing spree to regain strength and almost kills Vicki, but decides to take her back with him to the mansion for entertainment purposes. He also feeds her his blood so her neck will heal. But alas, Damon had previously drunk her blood, and ends up (SPOILER ALERT!) beginning the transition for Vicki to become a vampire.

Vicki, frightened, runs to Jeremy's house. When Stefan and Elena return, Stefan examines Vicki and explains to Elena that her behavior is due to hunger for human blood. She must feast and complete the transition, or die.

The authorities in town are on to the vampire activity and seek to kill the suspects using a gun with wooden bullets for staking. In an incredible conclusion, Stefan is struck by one of these bullets, but is saved by Damon, whilst Vicki feeds on the gunman. We have another vampire in our midst!

Thankfully, questions have been answered. Now we get to watch Stefan fight for Elena's love, and isn't that why we started to watch to begin with?
