'Bachelor' Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney to Be Married

Jason Mesnick, one of the stars of "The Bachelor," proposed to contestant Molly Malaney in New Zealand on Tuesday, and got the answer he was looking for.

ABC News reports that Mesnick proposed during a week-long trip to New Zealand, where he had originally chosen Melissa Rycroft as his favorite girl during the show. Later, during the "After the Final Rose" special, he dumped Rycroft on national television and announced that he was in love with Malaney.

After begging Melaney to take him back, the couple had been maintaining a long distance relationship. According to MSNBC.com, Mesnick lives in Seattle and Melaney lives in Milwaukee.

A friend of the couple said that they went to New Zealand so that "Jason can do what he should have done in the last time he was here, and ask Molly to marry him."

Access Hollywood writes that Rycroft got engaged to Tye Strickland back in June, so it's safe to say that she won't be too upset by the news.
