Lil Wayne is Guilty

Lil Wayne pleads guilty to felony gun possession.

Lil Wayne plead guilty Thursday for a felony gun possession charge that will land him a year in prison, and will lead to the removal of his passport, according to MTV news.

It was July of 2007 when the rapper was arrested for possession of an illegal weapon, a .40 caliber semi-automatic as he admitted before the court, after a show at the New York's Beacon Theater.

Lil Wayne must appear before the court in December to review his parole, and will then begin his prison sentence in February. He may be released within eight to ten months if he exhibits good behavior during his time behind bars.

The hearing lasted only 20 minutes, leaving Lil Wayne to walk out into a sea of reporters to whom the only words he uttered were "What's up."
