'Twilight' takes on Rome

Actors and screenwriter travel to Rome's Film Festival to showcase the movie "New Moon."

The popular "Twilight" Saga has kept a strong and increasing fan base as three of the young actors made an appearance at the Rome Film Festival on Thursday.

The three actors who appeared at Rome's festival, alongside the screenwriter, play the Volturi (the most powerful and dangerous vampire coven in the book) in the "New Moon" movie.

The movies, based on Stephenie Meyer's best-selling book series, gained instant popularity among teenage girls who are attracted to the idea of this fantastical romance between Bella, played by Kristen Stewart, and Edward, played by Robert Pattinson.

The main characters Stewart and Pattison have been highly acclaimed after jumping into an instant famous status from their performances in "Twilight."

The movie preview was sold out in just a few hours and hundreds of teenagers stood in the rain as to catch a glimpse of the "New Moon" actors on the red carpet.

According to Reuters this new status and movie fan base has created a sense of pressure and excitement between the actors.
