New Mommies of "Grey's Anatomy" Return to Set
New moms Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl returned to work on the hit show, "Grey's Anatomy," this week, People Magazine reports.
"They're both back at work and everyone's really happy to see them," said a show source.
Pompeo, who gave birth to daughter Stella Luna on Sept. 15 with husband Chris Ivery, had pre-taped all of Meredith's scenes to take into account her subsequent maternity leave so that she wouldn't be missing from any of the episodes.
Heigl also returned to the set this week, after adopting 10-month-old baby Naleigh from South Korea on Sept. 10 with hubby Josh Kelley. She had taken an additional five weeks off to film the romantic comedy, "Life As We Know It." Heigl's character, Izzie Stevens, will return to the show in the Nov. 12 episode.
It seems the "Grey's Anatomy" set is totally pro-baby. Chyler Leigh seems to have no problem bringing her 5-month-old daughter, Anniston, to the set. "My trailer is overtaken by kid's stuff. Anniston has a buzzy chair, diapers, wipes, formula, toys," she told People Magazine in August. I guess the set will soon be overrun by babies, with Stella and Naleigh adding to the fun!
