Johansson to star in 'A View from the Bridge'

Scarlett Johansson to make her Broadway debut
Scarlett Johansson will be joining the growing number of Hollywood actors on Broadway. Johansson, 24 will star in Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge.
The previews for the revival of the Miller play will begin December 28 and the show will play for 14 weeks. She will star alongside actor Liev Schreiber who has been on Broadway before and won a Tony award for his portrayal of Richard Roma in the 2005 revival of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross.
A View from the Bridge is a drama set in "1950s America about a Brooklyn dockyard worker obsessed with his 17-year-old niece, to be played by Johansson" as reported on Reuters.com.
This is the first time Johansson will star on Broadway. Her films include Ghost World, Lost In Translation and the upcoming sequel to Iron Man where she plays the Black Widow. She recently released an album of songs with folk singer Pete Yorn.
According to LATimes.com, "A View from the Bridge was first produced on Broadway in 1955. Its most recent Broadway revival was in 1997, with a cast featuring Anthony LaPaglia, Brittany Murphy and Allison Janney."
