No More "Trauma" for NBC
NBC has decided to scrap its freshman medical drama "Trauma," about the personal and professional lives of San Francisco paramedics. The network will not be ordering any more episodes of the show, though it will finish producing the rest of its original 13-episode order. There is no word on whether NBC will air the remaining episodes, however.
The five episodes aired so far have not fared too well with viewers. The latest episode of "Trauma" scored only 5.8 million total viewers and a low rating of 1.9/4 share among adults 18 to 49, reported the Los Angeles Times.
"Trauma" was said to be one of the most expensive new shows on television, and this coupled with its low ratings, leaves us in no surprise regarding its inevitable demise.
Meanwhile, the network has ordered six more episodes of comedy-drama "Chuck." According to THR.com, "Trauma" will be replaced by "Chuck" on Monday nights next year.
"Trauma" becomes the second freshman casualty of the season, joined on its deathbed by The CW's "The Beautiful Life."
