Sean Penn, Hugo Chavez Discuss Future Film in Venezuela

The Venezuelan President met with Sean Penn to discuss the possibility to film a movie in Venezuela.

Sean Penn met with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Wednesday to discuss film and politics, The Hollywood Reporter announced.

Penn and Chavez talked on the possibility of filming a movie in Venezuela, which was written by Cuban writer Alejo Carpentier and takes place in the jungle along the southern Oricono River.

During their private meeting, Chavez and Penn also discussed Obama and the Nobel Peace Prize. Chavez told Penn to tell the US President he had to prove himself and earn it now that he had received the Nobel Prize. According to Chavez, the actor said he was meeting Obama soon.

Penn stopped at Venezuela flying from Cuba, where he had sought an interview with former leader, Fidel Castro. Penn, last year, became the first American to get an interview with Cuba's President Raul Castro.

Counting this visit Penn has visited the Venezuelan President three times, who has welcomed many celebrities to his palace.
