Music Video Directed by Ledger Released

Heath Ledger directed a music video for a friend before his death that has now been made public.

A longtime companion of Heath Ledger's is showcasing the actor's many talents long after his friend's death.

N'fa Forster Jones, an Australian rapper also referred to as No Fixed Abode, posted a music video, which Ledger directed, on his YouTube and MySpace pages Thursday reports the href=http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gMUac-IEg09YDQ9j1kEFM__bh-VgD9BLBS2G0>AP.

The 3 minute and 31 second video for "Cause an Effect" is accompanied by a video in which Jones describes how the project started and what it was like to work with Ledger.

"He gave me a call one morning, as he often did at crazy hours, and he's like, ‘N'fa, I've got this idea for a video," Jones says in the online video explanation.

Both Jones and Ledger were raised in Perth in western Australia and have been close since childhood. Although Ledger's death makes it hard to release the video, Jones wanted to pay tribute to the work of his friend.

"I've often felt uncomfortable talking about working with Heath and making the video," Jones says, according to Reuters, "but I figure it's necessary to explain the idea behind the work and what we were doing and show genuine appreciation for his time he gave to me."

Ledger also worked on other musical side-projects, including videos for guitarist Ben Drake and alternative rock band Modest Mouse.
