50 Cent Self Destructs on the Big Screen

New album and film out in Nov.

Dead Man Running - UK Film Premiere - Arrivals

"Before I Self Destruct" is the fourth studio album by rapper 50 Cent and promises to be a dark and gritty conceptualized album.

Backed in the studio by Dr. Dre and Eminem as on 2005s' "Get Rich or Die Tryin,'" the album has held the attention of fans waiting to hear what 50 Cent has been storing up since 2007 when he switched out "Curtis" in its place.

The album went on to register 2x Platinum with RIAA, but critics were… critical calling the album trivialized and a retread, expecting better.

Inspired by the album of the same, "Before I Self Destruct" the film, was written, directed and stars 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson. The 90 minute film is a coming of age story about an inner city youth raised by a hardworking single mother. When his dream of becoming a basketball player fails to materialize after his mother is tragically gunned down, Clarence (played by Jackson) is consumed by revenge and takes up a life of crime in order to support his younger brother.

For a limited time, the album with a bonus DVD featuring "Two Turntables and a Microphone: The Life and Death of Jam Master Jay," a documentary about 50 Cent's late mentor and friend will be available Nov. 23.

The film release will screen in ten cities beginning Nov 2 through Nov 13. Fans can download their tickets while supplies last. This movie is rated R.
