Who do the young teens and tweens of the day think is the worst celebrity influence of 2009? The answer may surprise you. 44,594 young people voted Disney’s very own Hannah Montanna, Miley Cyrus on JSYK.com, reports Us Magazine.
Other contenders for the undesirable titles were, in descending order, Britney Spears, Kanye West, Vanessa Hudgens, who recovered after nude photos displayed on the internet, and Shia LeBeouf, who’s been described as having a drinking problem. Cyrus was voted top choice by almost half of all voters, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Examiner reminds us of what the teen star did to deserve such an honor. Special Miley moments include a pole-dancing performance at the Teen Choice Awards, posing with a slanty-eyed reference to the Asian population in a picture, and a photoshoot with Annie Leiboitz.
