Nicole Richie Granted Temporary Restraining Order Against Photographers
A Los Angeles judge granted Nicole Richie a temporary break from the excessive attention of two photographers in a hearing on Friday.
Eduardo "Bam Bam" Arrivebene and Ivon Miguel were ordered to stay 100 yards away from Richie. The restraining order extends to her two children, Harlow, 21 months, and Sparrow, 6 weeks, but does not apply to Joel Madden.
In her declaration, Richie stated that the two photographers harassed her and her family "on a daily basis," according to TMZ. Her claim also stated that they had been "stalking our home, as we try to go about our daily lives."
Richie's filing also stated that Arrivebene and Miguel "scream at me in an attempt to get my reaction, scare me, follow me, chase me in [their] vehicle" causing "severe emotional distress," reports People.
One earlier incidence of chasing went further than emotional harm and caused physical injury.
On October 6, Arrivebene and Miguel rear-ended Richie's land Rover while she was driving in Beverly Hills. Police arrested Arrivebene for driving without a license, and he was later released on $1,225 bail.
Richie required medical attention due to minor injuries suffered in the accident. She is now worried that the two men pose a threat to her and her children's future well being.
"I am fearful that [their] continued presence may cause yet another accident, this time with my infant children in the vehicle," she stated in her declaration.
On November 16, a judge will determine if the restraining order should be permanent.
