The Chargers have released wide receiver Chris Chambers.
The San Diego Chargers have released struggling wide receiver Chris Chambers, reports USA Today. Chargers head coach Norv Turner says the team released Chambers because of the emergence of wide receiver Malcolm Floyd and the need to sign a linebacker because of an injury to Tim Dobbins on Sunday.
According to ProFootballTalk, the Chargers acquired Chambers from the Miami Dolphins in 2007 in exchange for a second-round draft pick. Rotoworld states that now that Chambers is out of the picture, Malcolm Floyd might be a good pickup in fantasy football.
