2009 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals

Get your passport and ticket to Berlin ready. Okay, well at least get your TiVo ready. The 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards are just around the corner and will air Thursday, Nov. 5.

Girl-kissing Katy Perry will be hosting the foreign affair, and Pete Wentz will be hosting the online show with exclusive backstage access. Unstoppable U2 will be performing a special musical performance in front of Berlin's Brandenburg Gate. The Foo Fighters and Green Day, hip-hop legend Jay-Z, the she wolf Shakira and the gorgeous Leona Lewis will all perform, too.

This year's EMA ceremony will mark the first year that the show has been hosted twice by a city, Berlin previously had the hosting honor back in 1994. The reason behind that decision has to do with the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, according to Beatcrave.com.

Awards are fan-picked, so be sure to vote for all your favorite EMA nominees.
