Rihanna Opens Up To Diane Sawyer
Rihanna will speak about being assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in February for the first time on ABC's "Good Morning America". The interview will be held by Diane Sawyer on Thursday.
The incident resulted in Brown being sentenced to five years probation, one year domestic violence counseling and community service.
In the interview Rihanna will also discuss her family life, growing up in Barbados and how she has been doing over the past nine months.
Commercials promoting the interview began airing during the weekend and again during "The View" on Monday morning.
The interview will air on "Good Morning America" on Thursday Nov.5 and Friday Nov.6 at 7 a.m ET and also on "20/20" Friday Nov.6 at 10 p.m ET.
Rihanna's new album "Rated R" is scheduled to release on Nov.23. Her lead single "Russian Roulette" will be available for sale on Nov. 3 through iTunes.
