Jake Gyllenhaal “Prince of Persia” And Action Hero

Disney has released the trailer for “Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time” which stars Jake Gyllenhaal and looks like it may be a summer blockbuster.
From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and based on the video game Disney’s “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” trailer has been released. The trailer makes the film look a little bit like “The Mummy” which isn’t a bad thing.
The film is about Prince Dastan, who must team up with Tamina to battle Vizier who has unleashed the sands of time. Dastan must save his kingdom using the Dagger of Time, which controls time to return the sands to the hourglass. And yes, it looks like he will fall in love with the Tamina.
What is creating a buzz is star Gyllenhaal, 28, and his new action star status. Well known for his more serious acting, “Jarhead,” “Donnie Darko,” and “Brokeback Mountain” the trailer shows him leaping between walls, off buildings and sword fighting. There is even a hint of an accent.
His co-stars are former Bond girl Gemma Arterton, and Ben Kingsley. The film is scheduled for release May 28, 2010.
