“The Big Bang Theory“: Episode 6
3-Nov-2009
Written by: Natalie Gregory
Sheldon teaches Leonard about football; Raj accuses Wolowitz of always ditching him
Episode six of “The Big Bang Theory” featured Leonard’s attempt at fitting in with Penny’s friends. The catch is, her friends all seem to hang out watching football, one of the few things Leonard knows very little about.
Leonard therefore attempts to learn all there is to know about football. While daunting at first, Leonard finds an unexpected tutor in Sheldon, who explains that growing up in Texas inadvertently makes you an expert in all things football…and frying meats that aren’t chicken like they were chicken (hilarious line, and not too far from the truth).
Unfortunately, Leonard shows off his football knowledge a little too enthusiastically when it’s game time with Penny’s friends.
Meanwhile, during a game of kite fighting, Wolowitz spots a girl jogging, whom he swears smiled at him, and forfeits the game, leaving Raj defenseless. Raj consequently loses his favorite kite, and argues that Wolowitz always ditches him when some girl out of his league is in question. They make amends, though there is a consensus that Wolowitz is a douche bag.
“The Big Bang Theory” airs Monday nights at 9:30/8:30c.
