Weezer and Snuggie; it’s the Perfect Fit

Band cross promotes with the release of new album.
Damn those Weezer guys are always thinking outside the jeweled CD case. As if releasing their new album “Raditude” weren’t enough the band teamed up with America’s #1 selling blanket with sleeves, the Snuggie. This could not have been more of a mind melt if the album itself contained a hit of acid.
The band has gone so far as to appear in an actual infomercial for the “Wuggie” as Cuomo explained to Rolling Stone magazine back in May when he first had the idea.
“A Wuggie is basically exactly like a Snuggie, except it says Weezer on it. The people at Snuggie are doing it with us and promoting it with us. It’s a totally legit Snuggie.”
Available on the Weezer website, the Snuggie comes in blue with the Weezer name on it for the shut up, no you shut up price of $30. Also available is the Safari Snuggie. The zebra patterned blanket-wear is packaged with the deluxe “Raditude” album and photo book for $50. For the truly inspired there is the deluxe CD, the Zebra Snuggie, photo book and red album vinyl available for $150. The deluxe offering includes tracks like, “Get Me Some,” “Run Over By A Truck,” and “Prettiest Girl In The Whole Wide World.”
The band is out in support of the album and according to their website will be taking the month of November off and resume touring in December.
