Following up a complaint from neighbors, police arrested former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown for allegedly attacking his wife, actress Fabiola Quiroz.

The police arrived at the couple’s residence in West Kesington shortly after 8 am on Monday where Quiroz informed the officers of the abuse.

According to the BBC, “On arrival, a 37-year-old woman made an allegation of domestic assault and a 46-year-old man was arrested at the address and taken to a West London police station,” the Metropolitan police said in a statement.

Brown was taken to a London police station without incident and released on bail. He is expected to stand before a judge in December.

Brown and Quiroz have been married since 1999, and have a nine-year-old son named Emilio.

The Stone Roses dissolved as a band in 1996 when Brown embarked on a successful career as a solo artist releasing five albums topping the UK charts. The 20th anniversary edition of the band's self-titled debut album was released earlier this year. Brown has plans to collaborate with former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr on a television drama series.
