Sesame Street Celebrates 40th Anniversary
Sesame Street will celebrate its 40th birthday next week.
In 1969 came the debut of a television series that would transform the lives of children, and parents for that matter, across the nation. Sesame Street, the show that brought entertainment and education together through song, dance, and loveable characters. And next week, Nov. 10, will be its 40th anniversary, also known as Big Bird's birthday according to nj.com.
The big day will be celebrated across television networks, as the muppets make an appearance on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and FOX's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" game show.
