Johnny Depp in Talks for Possible Role in "Tourist"
Johnny Depp is in negotiations to star in upcoming movie "Tourist," reported Variety.
Sony Pictures Entertainment, along with GK Films, which is financing and distributing the film, are in the middle of negotiating Depp's role in "Tourist." If Depp chooses to act in the movie, he will be co-starring with Angelina Jolie.
The change of actors and director came after former film "Tourist" director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and "Terminator Salvation's" Sam Worthington left the production over creative differences.
Originally, Worthington was to co-star with Charlize Theron in the film after Tom Cruise took "Knight and Day" at the Fox network instead. While Bharat Nalluri was set to direct, and now it seems the director of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," Alfonso Cuaron, may be directing the film.
Depp and Cuaron are both in negotiation of filming the 2005 French remake of "Anthony Zimmer," which is about a female agent who uses a tourist in France as bait in the hunt for a wanted criminal and past lover.
