San Antonio Sprurs' Manu Ginobili Snatches a Bat Out of Mid Air
A bat interrupts Saturday night's Spurs match against the Sacramento Kings but Manu Ginobili won't let that get his way. The 6'6" Argentina guard catches the nocturnal wingling in the air as if it were a basketball. The Spurs went on to win the game.
This comes just three weeks after another major sports team had their fair share of critter invasion, only this time it was much more welcomed. A pigeon found its way to the football field of the Oakland Raiders. They got a little extra help from the feathered friend as the bird actually lined up with the rest of the players and played along with them; creating one of the coolest videos ever!
And who could forget this less fortunate bird that flew through an Arizona Diamondbacks game years ago. That poor bird never stood a chance against the fastball of World Series Winning pitcher, Randy Jackson.
It seems as though these animals just love taking part in good ball game from time to time. If only they knew how to stay out the way, maybe they wouldn't get hurt.
