2009 MTV Video Music Awards - Show

On Friday, the British television network Sky 1 will air a live séance with Michael Jackson’s spirit. British psychic Derek Acorah will attempt to contact the King of Pop in a hour long special.

Acorah is best known by British audiences for his long-time running show “Ghost Towns”.

Howell has also stated "We have chosen genuine Michael Jackson fans and people who knew him throughout his life to take part in this event, Derek will also have a personal item from Michael Jackson, and will invite everyone to sit quietly and channel positive thoughts ... he can't force Michael to appear, but he will try inviting his spirit by creating welcoming environment."

“Michael Jackson: The Live Séance" will be held at 10 p.m GMT on Sky 1. From 9-10 p.m GMT the network will air the first half of programming called “Michael Jackson: The Search for His Spirit” about the famous singer’s life and death.

Also featured on the show will be Jackson’s “Thriller” video co-star Ola Ray and American psychic Bobby Marchesso.
