WAC Hires PR Firm to Promote Boise St.

The WAC has hired a PR to promote Boise St. in an effort to get the school into a BCS game
The Western Athletic Conference is doing everything in its power to help Boise State appear in a BCS game, including hiring a PR firm to promote the team.
ESPN reports that the conference has hired Bois based firm Scott Peyron & Associates to promote the Broncos as a legitimate BCS contender assuming they remain unbeaten in the regular season.
The role of the firm is to keep the Bronco’s in the minds of the media, but will not lobby voters or coaches. They will however send out weekly emails, reminding the national media of the Bronco’s accomplishments.
The Broncos were denied the opportunity to play in a BCS game last season when they were ranked 9th in the country but Utah obtained the at large bid instead because of the Utes higher ranking.
The Broncos are in a similar position this season as they are currently ranked 7th in the BCS, while TCU is 6th.
The difference between going to a BCS game or a lesser bowl can mean a loss of millions of dollars for the school as the BCS payout is much higher.
