The Mentalist Moves To TNT
6-Nov-2009
Written by: Ingrid Bergquist

The Mentalist will move to the TNT network on fall 2012.

Television drama “The Mentalist” moved to TNT, announced The Hollywood Reporter.

The television studio bought the series from CBS and is launching “The Mentalist” on fall 2012. TNT and Warner Bros. made a pact in which the series will run weekly during 2011 on the cable network and launch on TNT in 2012.

CBS also sold the rights from “NCIS: Los Angeles” to USA network on Thursday for more than $2 million an episode, and last year sold “Criminal Minds” to A&E for about $850,000 an episode.

The TNT network not only bought “The Mentalist,” but also “Southland,” after it was canceled by NBC.

“The Mentalist” follows Baker, a private consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation who solves crimes by using his high attention to detail.

In 2008-2009 season, “The Mentalist” launched with top ratings and has maintained solid ratings.

“The Mentalist” is running in CBS on Thursdays at 10 p.m.
