Filmmakers are in the works to finalize casting for the new "Yogi Bear" movie.

Have you always thought that Justine Timberlake would make a great sidekick to Yogi Bear? If so, you're not alone.

The singer-turned-actor is currently in negotiations to voice Boo-Boo, Yogi Bear's constant companion who perpetually sports a bow-tie, reports Variety.

Dan Aykroyd and Anna Faris have also been selected as casting choices for the new movie, which will combine live-action with CG animation.

Faris could potentially play a nature documentary filmmaker who ventures to Jellystone Park and comes across the cartoon bears. A deal is being formed for Aykroyd to voice Yogi Bear.

Both Timberlake and Faris have experience in lending their voices to animated characters. Faris voiced a role in the popular "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs" while Timberlake's voice could be heard in "Shrek the Third."

Eric Brevig, known for "Journey to the Center of the Earth," has been selected to direct the film.

Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo's adventures in Jellystone park were first introduced through the 1958 Hanna-Barbera cartoons and later brought to the big screen in the 1964 animated movie "Hey There, It's Yogi Bear."

Filming for this latest version will start in New Zealand next month.
