Gossip Girl Too Scandalous For Parents?

The Parents Television Council wants the CW not to air an upcoming episode of “Gossip Girl“ because of the potentially controversial content.
“Gossip Girl” seems to be planning some scandalous plot twists that aren’t very appealing to the Parents Television Council. According to Entertainment Weekly, promos for the CW show have implied that an upcoming episode will feature a possible sexual threesome, which has led to some complaints.
US Magazine reports that the Parents Television Council asked the CW not to air the episode because the show airs to “impressionable teenagers.” Tim Winter, president of the Council, says the plotline is “reckless and irresponsible” to air.
The Parents Television Council has complained about “Gossip Girl” in the past as well. Last year they complained about ads featuring the main characters of the show in bed and skinny-dipping.
