Rachel Ray and Nick Lachey bring hope to a soup kitchen in Cincinnati.

Rachel Ray and Nick Lachey teamed up on Saturday to unveil a makeover of a local soup kitchen in Cincinnati, reported Cincinnati.com.

The Emmy-Award winning television host supplied the kitchenware, furniture and the food; casserole, green beans, ham and roast beef. The television cook stocked the soup kitchen with enough food for the next year.

About 300 people showed up at the kitchen picking up bags filled with food and goodies bags from Sara Lee.

The effort contributed by the celebrities went to helping with activities that help the community members find jobs.

The community has suffered with a 15 percent unemployment rate while trying to attract new businesses to fill in after DHL Express and Wilmington Air Park operations closed during summer and left thousands without jobs.

After hearing of the story Ray teamed-up with Cincinnati native Lachey, and renovated the soup kitchen with new appliances, furniture and shelves.
