Mayer Comments on Spears' Alleged Lip-Synching on Tour in Australia

Musician John Mayer commented on Britney Spears' controversial miming during her ‘Circus' tour in Australia

Controversy has once again swirled around Britney Spears over the past week and this time it is over allegations of lip-synching performances during her ‘Circus' tour in Australia. Testimonials from disappointed fans who attended the concert poured in to entertainment journalist Rebekah Devlin, who summarized their collective frustration by saying, "We were led to believe the lip-syncing was necessary because her dancing was so good, so rigorous, she couldn't possibly sing. But her moves were sloppy and stiff, as well as out of time."

Musician John Mayer, who is currently in Australia to promote his latest album, provided a comedic comment in regards to the Britney Spears lip-synching fiasco on his Twitter account. Mayer tweeted, "If you're shocked that Britney was lip-syncing at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you." Entertainment Weekly is reporting that some fans, who paid as much as $1,000 for their concert tickets, walked out of the concert in protest of Spears' lip-synching.

According to the New York Daily News, Spears' Australian concert promoter denied that Spears had lip-synched during any portion of her two-hour performance and that the reports of disappointment from fans at the event had been overblown. However, a security guard who was working at the concert reportedly revealed that he had never seen so many people leave a concert prematurely out of frustration.
