Happy 40th Birthday, "Sesame Street"!

The popular television program, "Sesame Street" celebrates its big day all week long with a special program airing about the number 40. "Sesame Street" has paved the way to fun preschool education for the past four decades and has taught the world that learning numbers and letters can be both entertaining and educational.

"Sesame Street" has been a colorful program that incorporated fun, wacky characters that soon became a household name for many young children and their families. The show proved that for once, there could be a show that adults wanted to watch alongside their youngsters and were not embarrassed to be showing it around the house.
