Shaquille O'Neal's Wife Files for Divorce, Seeks Spousal and Child Support

The wife of basketball star Shaquille O'Neal has officially filed for divorce and she is seeking spousal and child support from the multi-million dollar athlete

The USA Today is reporting that Va'Shaundya O'Neil, the wife of Cleveland Cavaliers center Shaquille O'Neal, officially filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Monday. Her court filings indicate that she is seeking spousal support, child support and full legal custody of the couple's four children although a specific amount of money was not mentioned.The divorce comes after rumors continued to circulate throughout the media over the past week about an affair that Shaquille O'Neal has allegedly been having for the past five years with the fiancé of Washington Wizards All-Star guard Gilbert Arenas. The rumors surfaced at TheBigLead.com and HoopsWorld.com when e-mails that were exchanged between O'Neil and Arenas' fiancée, Laura Govan, were displayed on the internet.According to Young Black and Fabulous' official website, Laura Govan and Va'Shaundya O'Neil had been friends with one another. Va'Shaundya O'Neil's court filings indicated that she and her husband, Shaquille O'Neal, married one another back on December 26th, 2002 While no confirmation has been made that the O'Neil's divorce is a result of infidelity committed by the 15-time NBA All-Star center, the allegations have not been denied either. People.com is reporting that Shaquille O'Neal attempted to divorce from Va'Shaundya O'Neal two years ago over constant allegations from his wife that he had been hiding money from her.
