Jon Voight Reconciles With Angelina Jolie

Actor Jon Voight, 70, confirmed with Us Weekly that him and daughter Angelina Jolie are, "in touch, but not regularly. We love each other and that's the most important thing."

Voight may have Brad Pitt to thank for the reconciliation. A family friend told Us Weekly "Angie made the initial contact. Brad has been supportive [and] a key factor in her reaching out." The friend said father and daughter met face to face in February.

In 2001, Jolie cut ties with her father after he went on Access Hollywood and begged her to get help for her "serious mental problems." After Jolie, 34, gave birth to twins in 2008 Voight said he would jump at the chance to see her children. "If they call me, I'm going to find a way."
