Voight Verifies He Has Reconciled with His Daughter

Actor Jon Voight lets the newest issue of Us Weekly that his rift with his daughter Angelina Jolie has ended.

The two had bad blood for almost seven years, and now finally as stated by Voight they have made up. He said that, "We're in touch, but not regularly. We love each other and that's the most important thing" as reported by UsMagazine.com.

The two met back in February to talk things out, and have been on good terms ever since. The estrangement between the two started back in 2001 when Voight appeared on "Access Hollywood." In a heart felt attempt, via satellite he pleaded with his daughter to get help for her mental problems that he said she was suffering from.

Angelina did not appreciate what her father had said and she cut off ties. ""My father and I don't speak. I don't hold any anger toward him. I don't believe that somebody's family becomes their blood. Because my son's adopted, and families are earned" as stated by Jolie according to Zimbo.com.
