Lou Dobbs to leave CNN
Lou Dobbs, longtime host of "Lou Dobbs Tonight" on CNN, announced Wednesday that he will be leaving the network immediately. While he is considering other options, CNN has released him from his contract which was supposed to run through 2011.
One of the nation's leading financial journalists and longest running host on CNN, Dobbs has been criticized about his extremely strong opinions such as his stance of being against illegal immigration which upset and angered many viewers, which could have potentially shut many doors for him.
His shockingly immediate departure will lead him to a place where he can more freely express his opinions. Rumors are flying that Dobbs has been in talks with rival networks of CNN such as Fox to find a platform that is more open to his controversial works.
In the meantime, the "Lou Dobbs Show" will continue to air on the radio where he will be concentrating his efforts.
