On Wednesday, the series about a chief executive who was forced to downsize and take up a penny-wise new life in the country, "Hank" was cancelled by ABC. Over the next few weeks, "Hank" will be replaced by repeat episodes of "Modern Family."

ABC still has five episodes that have yet to be aired.

The series holds the lowest ratings for the Wednesday comedy block, averaging 6.7 million viewers per episode and a rating of 1.7 among adults 18-49.

"Hank" starred Kelsey Grammer, the former "Frasier" star. The ABC series was Grammer's second attempt to have a hit show since "Frasier" and "Cheers." After one season in 2008, his comedy series, "Back to You," where he played an arrogant news anchor, was cancelled by Fox.

This is the second show that ABC has cancelled within the week. On Monday, the network announced that it would not continue "Eastwick" beyond their order of 13 episodes.
