Woman Gets Severely Mauled by Chimp

In a tragic and freakish turn of events, a woman in Connecticut by the name of Charla Nash was mauled by a chimpanzee in February.

BBC News reports that Nash lost her nose, lips, hands and an eyelid in the attack, and just recently appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Wednesday, November 11, to display her disfigured face. On the show, she claims she doesn't remember a thing. The doctors keep her medicated in order to prevent the traumatizing memories, nightmares and flashbacks.

The Associated Press added specifically that Nash has no eyes and has to eat everything out of a straw and can't breathe through the straw.

According to E! Online, the 200 lb. chimp belonged to her boss, Sandra Herold, and she was always a little afraid of her. After the accident, she tells Oprah she's ready to "heal and move forward." She is being treated at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
