Glee is Back!

'Glee' had a controversial episode on disabilities

After taking a few weeks break from Fox, "Glee" returned last night for a new and controversial episode. The episode finally chronicled the life of one of the main characters Artie (Kevin McHale) and how being in a wheelchair has complicated some seemingly simplistic tasks for him.

The show had true-to-life negative reactions from the rest of the Glee Club when they found they could not get funding to get a special bus to include Artie on the road to Sectionals. When the director, Mr. Shuster heard their unwillingness to fundraise for their friend Artie, he demanded they all don wheelchairs for three hours every day.

It was charming to see the diverse characters ranging from the Cheerios to the football players in the Glee Club coming together to raise money for their friend Artie. Of course, in the end all was well when Artie willingly gave the money to build a new wheelchair ramp instead of a bus ride.
