Mike Tyson And Family Portrait Session

Mike Tyson got in to an altercation with a photographer at a Los Angeles airport on Wednesday at around 4:30 pm.

Sergeant Jim Holcomb of the airport police stated that Tyson was traveling with his wife and 10-month-old daughter. Tyson and his family were at a stop from Europe to Las Vegas. They were at a ticket counter, when photographers approached them and began snapping pictures.

Tyson's spokeswoman Tammy Brooks claims that he was protecting his family from a hostile paparazzi named Tony Echeverria. Brooks then said that Tyson struck Echeverria in self defense.

Tyson struck Echeverria once and knocked him to the ground. The photographer suffered a cut on his forehead.

Police were called to the scene and both were fingerprinted, booked and released without bail.

According to The Associated Press, "Tyson was cooperative as he waited in a holding cell at the airport police station, Holcomb said. Echevarria was treated at a hospital while Tyson continued his trip. Both men were released without any restrictions and free to go wherever they want."
