Scorsese Honored For Lifetime of Work

The director will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes.

Director Martin Scorsese is set to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at the 67th annual Golden Globes on January 17th.

Scorsese, the same age as the award show that will be honoring him, has an Academy Award for directing The Departed and two Golden Globes for both that and Gangs of New York. He has also seen nominations for Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and The Aviator.

Upon receiving the DeMille award, Scorsese will join the ranks of Steven Spielberg (last year's recipient), Warren Beatty, Anthony Hopkins, and Michael Douglas.
