Cindy Crawford Is Victim Of Extortion Scandal
Edis Kayalar, an acquaintance of Cindy Crawford's former nanny, is suspected of threatening to reveal a photo of Crawford's young daughter to the press for $100,000.
According to TMZ, the photo featured Crawford's daughter bound and gagged to a chair "in revealing clothing."
The photo was apparently taken unbeknownst to Crawford by the former nanny during a game of "cops and robbers." The nanny, whose name is unknown at this time, was not charged with the crime, The AP reports.
Kayalar had stolen the photo from the nanny then confronted both Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber with a proposition to either sell the photo back to them, or sell the photo to the press and create a huge child abuse scandal. Gerber had given Kayalar $1,000 for what he believed to be the original image, however, Kayalar came back with copies asking for a whopping $100,000.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Kayalar met the nanny at a bar then saw the photo at her apartment later that night.
Kayalar was arrested Sept. 16 for immigration violations and was deported back to Germany. That didn't stop him though, as he continued to harass Crawford and Gerber for across seas as well.
