Charlie's Angels To Make TV Return

ABC is in talks to revive the television show "Charlie's Angels."

Good morning, angels, may be something we'll all get to say as "Charlie's Angels" makes a return to the small screen.

That's right. ABC is nearly ready to close a deal to get those three sexy yet dangerous private investigators back on the TV, reports Variety.com. The new series would be a modern version of "Charlie's Angels" and the close of the deal will begin the start of production.

The original series ran from 1976-1981 and put Farrah Fawcett on the walls of many young men. According to New York Daily News' web site, producers are a bit nervous about reviving the series for TV since recent remakes of iconic TV series like "Melrose Place" and "90210" have fell shorts of expected ratings.

However, some at ABC say that "Charlie's Angels" will not have that problem because of the popularity brought to it by the 2000 and 2003 film versions, which starred Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz as the angels. ABC also looks at the series as a chance to cast three sexy newcomers. That's sure to stir some attention.

The new series is aimed to garner a new generation of viewers while still paying homage to the original series, reports Variety.com. Sorry, no word on when the first show will air. Stay tuned.
